Responsibilities
· Greet and interact with patients to make them feel special and comfortable
· Assist patient with and review all paperwork including medical and dental histories
· Chairside assisting of general dentistry procedures and Invisalign including set up for specific procedures and turnover treatment rooms
· Explain dental procedures, informed consent, and postoperative instructions as well as present treatment plans with confidence
· Take detailed notes and type them into patient record
· Careful use of CEREC scanner and mill to take impressions and fabricate crowns
· Ability to do child prophies, sealants, take impressions, and complete deliveries independently
· Ensure smooth operation of entire clinic - assisting doctors, hygienists and front desk team as scheduled and in any other capacity when needed
· Ensure instruments are appropriately sterilized and distributed throughout the day
· Manage incoming and outgoing lab cases
· Understand and follow all OSHA and HIPAA standards and regulations
· Contribute to the cheerful, upbeat atmosphere of our office
Qualifications
· Education: Minimum High school diploma
· 1 Year Dental Assisting experience required
· X-Ray and CPR certified
· Computer skills, including experience with Dentrix preferred
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Spanish language would be helpful but not necessary
