The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections and verification activities to ensure products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports compliance with Harmar’s Quality Management System by conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and identifying nonconformances throughout production and receiving processes. The Quality Inspector works closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely issue escalation, and consistent adherence to approved procedures that support product quality and audit readiness.
Requirements

- Working knowledge of quality documentation and record requirements
- Ability to identify and document nonconforming product
- Ability to follow established quality system procedures
- Basic understanding of ISO and FDA quality requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication in a production environment
- Ability to maintain accurate inspection and quality records
- Proficiency with basic computer and documentation systems
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Accurate and complete inspection records
- Verified product compliance to specifications
- Timely identification of nonconforming product
- Controlled and documented quality issues
- Audit-ready documentation supporting product release
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections
- Verify documentation accuracy within Document History Records
- Identify, segregate, and control nonconforming product
- Document inspection results per approved procedures
- Escalate quality issues following established SOPs
- Support audit preparation and compliance activities
- Maintain inspection tools and measurement equipment
- Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues
- Follow quality system and documentation requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day.
- Be able to stand, lift, bend, and stoop.
- Work same hours as production team.
- Background in quality management systems (inspections, Audits) preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Able to work 2 Fridays a month.
- Non-climate-controlled warehouse with some exposure to outside.
- Must be able to read English/Bilingual is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Experience:
- 2 years of quality inspection experience in a fast-paced production environment.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time well.
- Detail oriented with organization and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to a diverse audience (training),
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
- Knowledge of ISO quality management system document and record control requirements.
- Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Hours:
- 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Mon.-Thurs.) with 2 Fridays per month.
Hourly Pay Range:
- $20.00
