Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation meet standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order entry and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, adhering to legal drinking age laws and promoting responsible serving practices
- Assist with food service when needed, including serving snacks or small plates during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills and tips, and manage cash register operations efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; previous cashiering or cashier experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a lively environment
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and special events like banquets or catering functions
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and billing accuracy
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is preferred; retail math knowledge is advantageous
