Role Overview
As our West Coast Territory Manager, you will be responsible for expanding the business throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. This is a new position that will allow the perfect candidate to grow our West Coast business quickly by building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new customers where our brand is not currently distributed.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
· Manage, service, and grow relationships with current retail accounts across the territory
· Research, target, and secure new wholesale accounts — specialty stores, men's and women's premium boutiques, surf shops, and regional chains
· Drive consistent revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets across the territory
Brand & Product Representation
· Conduct in-store product knowledge sessions to educate retail staff and floor teams on Hari Mari's brand story, product line, and key differentiators
· Execute sales-specific promotions and merchandising meetings that drive sell-through at retail
· Ensure strong in-store presence, fixture placement, and visual merchandising standards
Trade Shows & Events
· Plan and manage logistics, travel, and sales coordination for regional trade shows
· Represent Hari Mari at key industry events and buying markets across the West Coast
Strategy & Reporting
· Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and account performance to identify growth opportunities
· Provide regular sales reporting, forecasts, and territory updates to leadership
· Collaborate with internal teams on product feedback, seasonal planning, and go-to-market strategy
Qualifications
• 3-5years of footwear sales experience with a proven track record of opening and growing accounts
• Deep existing relationships with West Coast specialty retailers, premium men’s and women’s boutiques and surf shops
• Collaborative and proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and follow through
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Self- Starter mentality – comfortable working independently and managing a large, geographically diverse territory
• Ability to travel throughout the territory and attend tradeshows as required
• Passion for the Hari Mari brand, outdoor lifestyle, and the specialty retail ecosystem
Required Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF), PowerPoint (client presentations and pitch decks) and Word
• Working knowledge of retail math, including margin/markup, sell-through rate, open-to-buy, YOY/WOW variance and average order value
• Ability to build and interpret sales reports and dashboards: comfortable analyzing data to identify trends and performance gaps
• Familiarity with standard business communication tools (Outlook, Zoom, Teams, Google Workspace)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly with external partners and internal teams at all levels
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience with NetSuite and NuOrder
