High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications, Licensures, and Examinations:
A valid license issued by the State of Maryland as an apprentice in the field of heating/ventilation and air conditioning, electrical or plumbing. (Copy of license must be submitted with application), OR Possession of such license within twelve (12) months of hire date.

Essential Duties:
- Troubleshoots and repairs building equipment and facility systems in the field.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Assists with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, renovations, upgrades, and repair projects within County facilities.
- Responds to work orders by diagnosing problems, identifying solutions, and completing repairs in a timely manner.
- Operates County vehicles to transport equipment, tools, supplies, and materials needed to complete assigned work.
- Reads and interprets equipment schematics, diagrams, and shop drawings to support maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintains accurate records of work performed, including labor, materials, and time associated with work orders.
- Prepares reports and documentation related to maintenance activities and completed assignments.
- Follows all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provides professional and responsive service to facility occupants, vendors, and County staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
