Do you enjoy coordinating events, solving problems, and creating exceptional guest experiences? Harford Community College is seeking an Arena Events Specialist to support the day-to-day coordination of events at the APGFCU Arena. This position plays a key role in ensuring events are well-organized, professionally executed, and provide an outstanding experience for clients, patrons, performers, and the campus community.
What You'll Do
As the Arena Events Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate and support events held in the APGFCU Arena.
- Advance logistical needs with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Develop event schedules, layouts, and detailed event diagrams.
- Oversee event activities to ensure successful execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, artists, and patrons.
- Build strong working relationships with campus partners and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Assist in resolving event-related issues quickly and professionally.
- Direct and coordinate the work of event staff as needed.
- Utilize computer software to manage event planning and logistics.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate degree.
Experience
- At least one (1) year of event coordination and customer service experience.
- Ability to earn and maintain a Crowd Manager Certification.

Residency Requirement
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Candidates residing outside of these areas are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
