Assistant Manager - Retail & Customer Service

The UPS Store #7848 is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help oversee daily store operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, solving problems, and helping a team succeed.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes initiative, leads by example, and can confidently assist with managing employees, serving customers, and maintaining efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and ensure excellent customer service.
• Help supervise, train, and support team members.
• Open and close the store as scheduled.
• Assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, mailbox services, and other store offerings.
• Process transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly.
• Help manage employee schedules, breaks, and daily workflow.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and placing orders.
• Help meet sales goals and identify opportunities to grow store services.
• Handle customer questions and resolve service issues professionally.
• Ensure store procedures and company standards are followed.
• Support the Store Manager with administrative tasks and other operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when handling payments and shipping information.
• A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages as needed.
• Flexible availability, including Saturdays.

Experience with shipping, packing, printing, or mailbox services is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
