What does an Electrical Plant Engineer do?
The Plant Engineer will research, develop, test, and supervise the design, implementation, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment, components, and systems of all machinery utilized in our manufacturing plant. They will perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, installation standards or specifications. They will prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. They will also inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards.
Areas we need your expertise:
Programing / Design
- Able to write custom PC software
- Able to write microprocessor code for standalone projects
- Able to write PLC programs
- Design custom one off products or parts
- Design Electrical circuits
- Program Variable Frequency Drives
Plant Maintenance
- Cross-reference electrical parts from different venders
- Coordinate and oversee contractor projects
- Knowledgeable of the National Electrical Codes
- Design dust collection ventilation systems
- Able to upgrade equipment control circuitry
- Knowledgeable of CO2 laser engraving and cutting
CNC
- Knowledgeable of CNC part holding techniques to improve production/quality
- Knowledgeable of programming CNC machines
- Knowledgeable of editing g-code for CNC machines
Electrical Troubleshooting
- Know how to use Oscilloscope, Multimeter and other types test meters
- Understand Power quality / electrical noise
- Read electrical Schematics
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits with or without a schematic
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic devices with or without a schematic
- Troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives
General
- Consult for various safety issues
- Consult for various quality issues
- Knowledgeable of drawing or updating prints using a CAD program
- Calibrate analog devices
Servo
- Install Servo Drives
- Program Servo Drives
- Troubleshoot Servo Drives
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
- 2 to 3 years of Electrical Engineering or related experience, preferred

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
