What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer position at Hardware FYI?
- Integrate with field activities to ensure alignment with drawings and specifications.
- Collect field measurements and write requests for information (RFIs).
- Assist with creating field and test packages to drive projects towards mechanical completion.
- Support construction with change management and progress reporting.
- Provide design interpretation and constructability insights to construction and engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for design and constructability improvements.
- Liaison between Factory Engineering, Quality, and Self Perform Construction teams.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with petrochemical facilities or large capital projects.
- Preferred mechanical background in Dry Mechanical, Process Piping, or Plumbing.
- Strong communication skills to interact with various levels of management and labor.
- Desire to work in the field with a proactive "boots on the ground" mentality.
- Experience with major EPC or large capital construction projects.
- Self-starter work ethic with minimal direction required.
- Proficiency in Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, and Office Suite.
