What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer I - Hardware (Electrical) position at Hardware FYI?
Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits and embedded systems.
Support schematic creation, PCB layout reviews, and documentation updates.
Perform basic electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis.
Conduct laboratory testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Support product validation, verification, and compliance testing.
Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, manufacturing, and software engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and electronics.
Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
Basic understanding of CAD or ECAD tools (Altium, PADS, DXPEDITION or similar).
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in relevant fields is preferred.
Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g., MATLAB, Python or similar).
Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC).
