We are a 30 year established, growing, fast-paced, AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified, 6-doctor, Veterinary Hospital, located in Belgrade, Montana.
Looking for a hard-working, and personable veterinary technician assistant to join our team of rockstars.
CVA certification is preferred but not required with qualifying experience.
Must possess a strong work ethic, have a passion for animals and people, as well as enjoy working within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency of various computer programs Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word (EzyVet, Vet Radar and Vet Snap preferred but not required).
- Active listening communication skills
- Customer-orientated
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy
- High organizational and time management skills
- CVA certification is preferred but not required
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide patients with the gold standard of care with compassionate restraint
- Work closely with team members and cultivate a positive, respectful, fun, and uplifting work culture
- Provides compassionate care to patients
- Prepares and maintains exam rooms, treatment areas, laboratory, or vehicles areas.
- Document medical record notes as directed by the Veterinarian
- Obtaining patient history and verbalize the history to the Veterinarian
- Assisting with surgical prepping
- Restraining for blood draws and IV catheter placement
- Post-Op-care for animals in recovery
- Assisting with digital x-rays restraint and area of interest
- Excelling with client communication
- Cleaning, restocking and organizing various areas of the hospital
- Following cleaning protocols and sterilization process for surgical instruments and surgical laundry
- Equine handling skills
