What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi?
Assists the Director of Human Resources with the coordination of training, employee communications, and employee events.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaches New Hire Brand Induction on a weekly basis.
Creates and participates in the on-going training and development of staff and management, focusing on music,
memorabilia, and company culture.
Plans, creates, and implements training and developmental programs.
Tracks training enrollment and maintains employees’ training records.
Assists departments with departmental training.
Evaluates the training needs of employees to determine types of classes needed.
Maintains employee communication bulletin boards and ensures compliance with policies.
Communicates with Bally’s Corporation and Hard Rock International to roll out any Company training programs.
Composes the daily Sound Check email.
Creates and distributes an internal monthly Hard Rock & Bally’s Newsletter.
Walks the property to build rapport, assess employee satisfaction, and develop relationships.
Creates a positive environment in which all employees have the ability to maximize their potential.
Listens to comments, criticisms, and feedback from employees and other managers to gain an understanding of strength and opportunity to improve personnel performance.
Creates a positive environment in which all employees feel comfortable visiting Human Resources regarding concerns, suggestions, and information.
Coordinates the activities of the Culture Club, as a permanent member of its board.
Knows, understands, and practices (with energy and enthusiasm) the mission, values, mottos, culture and spirit that make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino unique.
Coordinates and participates in employee events, recognition programs, and philanthropic initiatives.
Communicates constantly with corporate team to roll out and provide feedback on brand initiatives.
Organizes and manages local events to showcase the property and brand while demonstrating music industry connection.
Serves as spokesperson for the property on Vibe related initiatives.
Conducts meetings with staff to communicate vibe programs, implement new products and procedures, and discuss areas of opportunity, special events, etc.
Must be at work to perform the essential functions of the job.

Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.

Ensures compliance with the law with regards to annual training.
Maintains training certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)
High School diploma general education (GED)
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to have fun while on duty.

Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
