Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for driving inventory optimization and supply planning strategies to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs. This role analyzes demand patterns, inventory performance, and supplier capabilities to develop data-driven replenishment strategies that improve service levels and operational efficiency.
The Supply Chain Analyst collaborates closely with procurement, operations, finance, and key strategic suppliers to align forecasts, manage replenishment activities, maintain accurate ERP product data, and support continuous improvement across supply chain planning processes.
 
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Lead inventory optimization initiatives to balance product availability with efficient inventory investment.
  • Analyze demand trends, historical consumption, and supply chain performance to determine optimal reorder points, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts and inventory planning models to support purchasing and supply planning decisions.
  • Monitor key supply chain and inventory KPIs including inventory turnover, days of supply, and forecast accuracy, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory and partner with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate demand forecasts and upcoming inventory requirements with key strategic suppliers to ensure alignment on demand requirements, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Place and manage purchase orders with strategic suppliers based on forecasted demand, inventory targets, and replenishment plans.
  • Participate in supplier planning discussions to review demand outlooks, supply risks, and upcoming requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to lead times, fill rates, and delivery reliability, escalating and resolving performance issues as needed.
  • Create and maintain product codes and item master data within the ERP system to ensure accurate inventory tracking, replenishment planning, and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity within the ERP system including product attributes, units of measure, lead times, vendor associations, and inventory parameters.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into inventory performance, supplier reliability, and supply chain risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory planning processes, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, inventory planning, demand planning, or related analytical roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage X3, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques and inventory optimization methods.
  • APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
