About HarbourView Equity Partners
HarbourView Equity Partners is a global multi-strategy investment firm focused on the entertainment, media, and sports sectors. Founded by Sherrese Clarke, we are a platform that identifies and manages iconic intellectual property with long-duration revenue streams.
We believe that Content is Queen. Our mission is to support the purveyors of premium content by providing institutional capital to the stewards of global culture. We use a data-science-driven approach to evaluate esoteric assets that withstand the test of time.
Our Portfolio Includes:
- Music: Over 50,000 titles and 75 catalogs across master recordings and publishing, featuring legendary artists like Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, Pat Benatar, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, Brad Paisley, and T-Pain.
- Media & Film: Strategic investments in production companies like MACRO and Mucho Mas Media, which center on premium storytelling and diverse narratives.
- Other Adjacent Entertainment IP: A growing focus on sports, television, and film assets where high-quality IP drives non-correlated returns.
The Role
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Business Development & Investor Relations (BD/IR) Analyst to join our fast-growing investment platform.
You will be a key player in how we articulate our value proposition to institutional and retail investors. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where the stakes are high and the pace is relentless, you will fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
- The Narrative & Materials: Craft and update compelling investor presentations, fact sheets, and marketing materials. You will help translate complex strategies into clear, persuasive stories that highlight our unique edge in media and entertainment.
- DDQs & RFPs: Own the life cycle of Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Investor Relations Support: Assist in managing the investor pipeline, tracking interactions in the CRM (DealCloud), and preparing briefing notes for senior leadership ahead of LP meetings. Communicate with LPs to schedule meetings and help manage the calendar of senior team members.
- Client Interaction: Act as a secondary point of contact for investor inquiries, demonstrating the professionalism and client-first mindset required in a premier investment shop.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends in private credit and the media/sports landscape to help refine our messaging and competitive positioning. Provide quarterly earnings notes for publicly traded entertainment companies.
Who You Are
- The Storyteller: You have a knack for visual and written communication. You do not just input data — you frame it to tell a winning story about why culture is an investable asset class.
- The Perfectionist: In the world of RFPs, the details are the difference between winning and losing a mandate.
- The Athlete: You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot quickly when priorities shift. You enjoy the energy of a scaling firm and you understand the core concept of teamwork.
- The Communicator: You have 1–2 years of experience (likely in IB, Asset Management, or a similar IR role) and are comfortable interacting with sophisticated stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Investor Relations, or Asset Management.
- Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel; you should be able to build a deck that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is informative.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to synthesize technical financial concepts.
- A genuine passion for the intersection of finance, sports, and media.
