Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club is seeking a professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officer to staff a very busy gatehouse at a private gated residential community. This position is customer-facing and requires very strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Type- 11pm-7am Wednesday through Sunday— Monday and Tuesday off.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Control and monitor vehicular and pedestrian access through the community gatehouse
- Verify resident, guest, vendor, and contractor credentials
- Operate access control systems, visitor management software, and gate equipment
- Provide courteous, professional interaction with residents, guests, and service providers
- Enforce community rules, policies, and access procedures
- Observe, report, and document unusual or suspicious activity
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs and reports
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior gatehouse, security, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a high-traffic, high-pressure environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Basic computer skills (access control systems, email, reporting)
- Ability to stand, sit, and work outdoors for extended periods in South Florida weather
- Must pass background check and drug screening
