What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at HARBOUR RIDGE?
Job Summary: Deliver food to tables and assist the servers and kitchen in maintaining appropriate ticket times. The food runner should have basic food recognition and service knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef in the proper set up of the expo line on a daily basis.
- Assist Busser/Server in kitchen set up on a daily basis.
- Pay close attention to detail of all plates being served, proper temperature, garnishes, etc. for all meals for members and guests.
- Supply server/members with proper or special silverware or china for food items.
- Prepare all side dishes, underliners and condiments for each shift.
- Set up, break down, clean, and organize all expo work areas at the beginning and end of shift each day. Wrap and date all food items and store in proper location.
- Utilize open communication with kitchen, servers and dining room managers regarding all food service issues such as member complaints, depletion or replacement of menu items per chef.
- Assist with Buffet set up and maintenance.
