Description:
Position Summary:
To ensure a quality dining experience by managing dining room staff is well trained, knowledgeable about all menus and that all dining room employees are providing a high degree of hospitality and service, in accordance with HRA standards. This position reports to the Director of Hospitality and may be required to supervise other staff positions.
Essential Functions:
- Design, plan, and implement standards, policies, and programs that positively impact the delivery of service to our residents
- Solicit resident and employee feedback with regard to customer service standards and programming
- Ensures smooth and timely opening of the dining room
- Inspects side work to ensure completion and closes dining room
- Ensures an adequate number of service employees each shift and ensures absences are covered as to not allow coverage holes
- Assists service staff during mealtime as needed
- Conducts required training sessions, weekly/monthly/quarterly
- Make recommendation as to the hiring, firing, advancement and or promotion of staff.
- Is knowledgeable of all menus and descriptions
- Provides supervision for special functions
- Performs Manager On Duty responsibilities when assigned
- The ability to work in a safe and alert manner
- The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents
- Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently
Non-Essential Functions:

- Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University

- All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- SERV-SAFE certified or equivalent
- Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
Salary : $44,000 - $46,000
