Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install various building components using hand tools and power tools, including framing, siding, cabinetry, and fixtures
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, and water damage restoration projects
- Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, sanding, and painting to ensure quality finishes
- Fabricate custom components in the shop or on-site using woodworking equipment and CNC machinery
- Install doors, windows, flooring, tile, drywall (including metal stud framing), and other fixtures with precision
- Support remodeling efforts by performing demolition, plumbing rough-ins, electrical wiring assistance, and general handyman tasks
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with scaffolding, heavy machinery, scaffolding materials like stucco or siding materials
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading preferred
- Hands-on experience with trim carpentry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, flooring installation or tile laying is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools (hammers, saws) and power tools (drills, saws) required for various carpentry tasks
- Experience in restoration industry projects such as mold remediation or water damage restoration is a plus
- Knowledge of schematics for fixture installation or electrical wiring enhances your versatility on-site
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday is essential
- Previous roles involving manufacturing or assembly work can provide a strong foundation for this position
- Certification in construction safety or specific skills like CNC operation or plumbing is advantageous but not mandatory
