Title Agent / Title Examiner
Location: Northwest Arkansas
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Arkansas-licensed Title Agent / Title Examiner to join our team in Northwest Arkansas. This position is focused primarily on performing full 30-year title searches and examining public records to identify matters affecting title and insurability.
The ideal candidate will have prior title examination experience, strong attention to detail, and a working knowledge of Arkansas real estate and probate matters.
Requirements:
- Active Arkansas Title Insurance License required
- Minimum 2 years of title industry experience required
- Experience performing full title searches and title examination
- Strong understanding of Arkansas real estate records and title practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple files efficiently
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform complete 30-year title searches on residential and commercial properties throughout Northwest Arkansas
- Examine county land records, court records, tax records, probate filings, and related public records affecting title
- Search and review civil judgments, liens, bankruptcies, probate matters, and other encumbrances
- Conduct PACER searches and review federal bankruptcy filings and federal court matters
- Review chain of title for breaks, defects, unreleased liens, probate issues, easements, restrictions, and other title concerns
- Prepare accurate title commitments and title reports
- Identify curative issues and communicate title requirements internally
- Review surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and recorded documents as needed
- Assist with limited policy preparation and policy issuance
- Maintain compliance with underwriting standards and Arkansas title requirements
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Northwest Arkansas county records systems
- Experience with Qualia or similar title production software
- Experience reviewing probate, trust, and LLC-related title matters
- Familiarity with GIS mapping, PACER, and online title research tools
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable handling complex title matters with minimal supervision.
