This position is 100% on-site at our New York City headquarters.
About the Role:
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure that supports our engineering teams. In this role, you'll design and maintain AWS environments, run production Kubernetes clusters, and build automation that lets developers ship code confidently. You'll create CI/CD systems, set up monitoring and alerting, and respond to incidents while building the tools and processes that prevent future issues. This is a hands-on role where you'll write Infrastructure as Code, optimize containers, and work directly with engineering to keep our platform reliable as we grow.
Required:
- 2 years in DevOps roles
- Strong AWS expertise (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation)
- Kubernetes administration and container orchestration in production
- Hands-on containerization experience (Docker, registries)
- Solid grasp of cloud security, networking, and compliance
- Production Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform/Terragrunt
- CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)
- Python and Bash scripting for automation
Tech Stack:
- CI/CD: GitLab CI/CD (primary)
- Containerization: Docker
- Cloud Platform: AWS
- Infrastructure: Terraform, Terragrunt, AWS CloudFormation
- Monitoring abilities
Preferred:
- Built production environments from scratch
- Platform engineering for microservices architectures
- Advanced monitoring and observability
- Database operations (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)
- Startup or fast-growth company experience
- Compliance implementation (SOC II, GDPR, HIPAA)
- GitOps and modern deployment patterns
What You'll Do:
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
- Run production Kubernetes clusters and optimize container performance
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe deployments
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Automate infrastructure and configuration management
- Handle incidents and run post-mortem reviews
- Implement security controls and maintain compliance
- Optimize infrastructure spending and performance
