About the Company
A growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex engineering and manufacturing initiatives supporting product commercialization, process scale-up, technical transfers, and operational excellence programs.
About the Role
This role combines project leadership with technical expertise in manufacturing systems, automation, process controls, and data acquisition technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership
- Lead cross-functional technical projects from initiation through implementation and commercial execution.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource strategies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
- Drive communication and accountability across multiple functional teams.
Technical Execution
- Support implementation and optimization of manufacturing control systems, automation platforms, and process monitoring technologies.
- Lead technical transfer and scale-up activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing programs.
- Coordinate system integration, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
- Utilize statistical and risk-based methodologies to support process improvements and decision-making.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders and external partners.
- Facilitate project meetings, technical reviews, and status updates.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Promote best practices across engineering and manufacturing functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
- 5 years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of automation, process controls, manufacturing systems, and data acquisition technologies.
- Experience leading technical projects involving process development, scale-up, commercialization, or manufacturing support.
- Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and validation requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting technical transfer, process validation, or new product introduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools, risk assessments, and quality-by-design principles.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated continuous improvement experience.
- Experience working within a contract manufacturing or outsourced development environment preferred.
Salary : $135,000 - $180,000
