Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home care, assisted living, and group homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and support.

Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or similar positions is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Experience in cleaning, meal preparation, and maintaining a hygienic environment is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Understanding of long-term care practices and the unique needs of seniors or individuals with disabilities.
