What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Worker position at Happy Tails 2 U Pet Care?
Happy Tails 2 U Pet Care has an opening for a full time kennel worker to join our day care team. Our Kennel workers are responsible for ensuring the safety, activity and comfort of the dogs that come for day care. We are looking for a compassionate person who enjoys working with both dogs and people alike. May include occasional evening, weekend and holiday hours.
Responsibilities Include:
- Transporting dogs to and from the kennel
- effectively interact with all dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Cleaning Kennels- sweeping, moping, laundry, trash, yard clean up and disposing of animal waste.
- Exercising and feeding dogs
- Working with other employees
- following safety and sanitation protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Love dogs
- Enjoy being around dogs and actively play with them
- Spend extended time outside in all weather conditions
- Good driving record
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and reliable
- Problem solver and seek answers when needed
- Good time management and self-starter can juggle multiple competing tasks.
- Honest and trustworthy
- Able to lift 50lbs or more
Preferred Qualifications:
- Positive reinforcement training
- Dog grooming
- Able to give medications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience

Pay: $19.00 per hour
