What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Play Attendant position at Happy House Play Place?
Are you a coffee enthusiast with a love for playful environments? Our local play cafe is seeking a friendly and energetic weekend Barista to join our team! We're looking for someone who can craft delicious beverages, maintain a clean and inviting space, and provide excellent customer service to families enjoying our play area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique and vibrant setting where every day brings smiles and fun.
Responsibilities:
- Perform opening duties, including preparing the coffee station and ensuring the cafe is ready for guests.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company specifications and recipes.
- Regularly check on the condition of the play area and restrooms throughout your shift, ensuring they are clean, safe, and tidy for our young guests and their families.
- Execute closing duties, which include basic cleaning of the play area, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies alongside the MOD.
- Assist customers with their orders, answer questions, and provide a welcoming and helpful experience.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- A genuine love for children and a patient, friendly demeanor.
- Weekend availability is a must.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Compensation:
- $10-12 per hour plus tips
