Overview
Play Solutions Inc. is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice in Hampstead, NC. Founded and operated by a Registered Play Therapist, we provide compassionate, developmentally informed care to children, adolescents, and their families. Our clinicians work collaboratively with young people and caregivers to promote healing, build resilience, and support healthy emotional and developmental growth.
We are seeking part-time and full-time licensed mental health clinicians to join our team. Fully licensed professionals are preferred, though associate licensed clinicians will be considered. This is a contract position with flexible scheduling.
We utilize an electronic medical record system to streamline documentation and manage all provider credentialing and insurance billing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations using DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using modalities such as CBT, CCPT, Theraplay, sand tray therapy, EMDR, etc.
- Provide individual and family counseling focused on trauma, grief, emotional regulation, social skills, and related needs.
- Offer psychoeducation and ongoing support to caregivers.
- Coordinate care with families, schools, and other providers through case management.
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EMR.
- Incorporate telehealth services as appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to working with children and teens ages five and up and their families.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current North Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Knowledge of common childhood mental health disorders (e.g., PTSD, developmental disabilities, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, adjustment disorders).
- Familiarity with DSM-5-TR diagnostic standards.
- Training in play therapy, CCPT, Theraplay, Somatic Play, sand tray therapy, and/or EMDR preferred.
- Ability to connect with children at their developmental level and engage in playful, child-led interactions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
