Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive development, creativity, and physical coordination
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that caters to diverse learning needs, including children with disabilities or special education requirements
- Support with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood education
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education practices such as Montessori methods or behavior management techniques
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is a plus
