Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy, social-emotional skills, and physical activity.
- Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene needs throughout the day.
- Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and self-regulation.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Apply knowledge of child development instruction to tailor activities that support individual learning styles and developmental stages.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety issues.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or daycare centers is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for infants and toddlers.
- Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones, standardized testing (if applicable), and early literacy education techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in private school environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration are vital for success in this role.
