Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and any concern.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs for infants and toddlers
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred)
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a safe environment
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child protection
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or nannying is highly desirable
- Classroom management skills combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
