Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development, literacy education, and early intervention strategies.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management techniques, and physical education activities.
- Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom behavior and promoting social-emotional skills through effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, and exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive educational programs tailored to children with special needs or requiring additional support.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, milestones, and classroom activities to ensure transparency and partnership.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers is preferred, but also encourage new employees coming into the field to apply .
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including Montessori methods and literacy education strategies.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, math concepts, and implementing standardized assessments in early childhood environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
