In Home Senior Caregiver

SRX Home Care, LLC, under the trusted brand Happier At Home, is dedicated to providing compassionate and professional in-home senior care services in Northeast Iowa and surrounding areas. As an In Home Senior Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in supporting seniors to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Your duties will include assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and providing friendly companionship that encourages mental and emotional well-being. You will also help with transportation needs and medication reminders, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Prepare healthy meals and assist with grocery shopping as needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe environment
• Engage clients in conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional wellness
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and social engagements
• Offer medication reminders and assist with personal healthcare routines
• Communicate any health changes or concerns to supervisory staff promptly
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1 year experience in senior care or caregiving
• Strong compassion, patience, and empathy for elderly clients
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols accurately
• Must pass a background check and a saliva drug test
• Reliable transportation is required to assist clients with transportation needs
