Essential Job Functions Include But Are Not Limited To
- Partner with the VP of Accounting and Finance – Controller and CFO to execute organizational business goals and financial strategies.
- Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including the following:
- Maintenance of the General Ledger and interface with the Credit Union’s core banking system
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Prepaid Items
- Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Financial reporting and variance analysis
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including financial, 401(k), and pension plan audits.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, and required training.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead, develop, and motivate staff while ensuring accountability, strong communication, and adherence to organizational standards.
- A 4-year degree from a college or university, either a B.A. or B.S. in accounting or finance with a preference for professional certification (CPA).
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience at a managerial or supervisory position, preferably with a financial or accounting background, in a credit union or similar financial institution preferred.

Starting Salary (DOE): $104,579.49 – 181,001.60
