The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the company’s HR function with a strong emphasis on HR policy development, employee relations, and organizational culture. This role will also oversee recruitment, compliance, and compensation programs to ensure alignment with business objectives and legal requirements. The Senior HR Manager will act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, driving initiatives that promote engagement, consistency, and a positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Policies & Compliance (10%)
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee and respond to employee claims (e.g., harassment, discrimination, workplace disputes), ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Conduct and manage workplace investigations with confidentiality, objectivity, and thorough documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on compliance and policy matters.
Employee Relations (20%)
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations issues, grievances, and workplace concerns.
- Lead resolution of sensitive employee matters, applying sound judgment and ensuring consistency with company policy and values.
- Partner with managers and leadership to proactively address employee engagement and morale issues.
Employee Claims & Investigations (15%)
- Receive, document, and evaluate employee complaints, claims, and grievances.
- Conduct internal investigations including fact-finding, witness interviews, and evidence review.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive investigation reports and recommend corrective or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and company standards.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (10%)
- Oversee recruitment strategies to attract, select, and retain high-quality talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and ensure an effective and inclusive recruitment process.
Compensation & Benefits (15%)
- Manage salary administration, benchmarking, and compensation structures to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Support benefits program management, annual review, and employee communication.
Workforce / Staff Operations (15%)
- Manage workforce planning and headcount allocation to meet business needs.
- Monitor staffing levels, employee scheduling, and resource deployment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes in line with company policies.
- Analyze workforce metrics and provide recommendations to optimize organizational performance.
Leadership & Strategy (10%)
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Lead HR projects such as engagement surveys, performance management improvements, and organizational development initiatives.
- Mentor and develop HR team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Others (5%)
- Provide regular HR updates and reports to Leadership and Headquarters, including key metrics, trends, and recommendations.
- Execute additional HR-related projects and assignments as directed by Leadership.

Education and Experience:
- 12 years HR experience, minimum 10 years of HR Management experience
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of HR inclusive of talent, HR administration, benefits, compensation, employee relations and compliance
- Strong experience and knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Strong communications skills, both internally and externally.
- Possess the strategic ability to grow an organization through identifying goals, the path to achieve them and successfully articulating the mission, goals and priorities to key stakeholders across the organization
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Adept in Microsoft suite, working knowledge Workday
- Results driven with a high sense of urgency; skilled at managing and facilitating change, demonstrated agility, possesses high sense of initiative and innovation
- Renewable Energy industry experience is preferred
- Bilingual (English and Korean) is preferred
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., parts, boxes, binders).
- Occasional travel (up to 15%) to company facilities
