At Hanson Sign Companies, we manufacture custom signage and branded products that are shipped and seen across the country. We're looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on individual to join our Art & Graphics Department.
This position focuses on large-format digital printing, vinyl graphics production, and the application of graphics to a variety of sign materials. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain large-format digital printing equipment, including our HP 700W printer
- Prepare, print, cut, weed, and apply vinyl graphics to various sign materials and surfaces
- Apply vinyl graphics to plastic sign faces and other substrates with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare artwork and production files using Adobe Illustrator and other graphics software
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, and project specifications
- Inspect finished graphics for accuracy, quality, and proper application
- Troubleshoot printing, material, and application issues as they arise
- Work closely with other departments to keep projects moving efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist with other graphics and production tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience with vinyl graphics, digital printing, sign production, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with large-format digital printers and vinyl cutting equipment is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or similar graphics software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to accurately follow measurements, drawings, and written instructions
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform precise, hands-on work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and adapt to changing production needs
- Willingness to learn new equipment, techniques, and processes
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude and a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle and move various sign materials and substrates
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- Comfortable standing and performing hands-on production tasks throughout the workday
