What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Shipping Clerk position at Hansen International?
Basic Function: Performs basic daily functions in picking, packing, and preparing outgoing shipments to customers. Must be detailed oriented and following specific details for shipping.
Departmental Responsibilities: Performs all necessary actions to pick, pack, and verify shipments to customers, and performs all required transactions in the inventory control software to ensure inventory accuracy. Takes necessary steps and precautions to ensure inventory preservation and accuracy.
Secondary Responsibilities: Assists coworkers and Warehouse Manager in keeping the Shipping Department and the Finished Goods warehouse neat and orderly, loads and unloads freight trucks as required. Performs cycle counts as directed and puts away material from receiving and the production area into the finished goods warehouse. Assists in other areas of the department as needed.
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED, some computer knowledge desired. Experience with Automotive, Aero Space or Tier I Automotive shipping preferred.
Forklift experience Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function.
