We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and tracking outgoing shipments while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments (packages, pallets, freight)
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and invoices
- Verify items against orders to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight companies)
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain shipping records and update systems
- Assist with inventory control and stock organization
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (label printers, scanners, etc.)
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Excel, shipping software, email)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks during shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with shipping platforms (ShipStation, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
- Knowledge of inventory systems or ERP software
- Forklift experience (a plus, not required)
Pay: $24.20 - $29.10 per hour
