Role Description This full-time, on-site Private Label PD/Designer – Soft Accessories role is based in Los Angeles, CA. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented product development/designer to own the development process from buyer selection through production readiness. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple timelines, and has strong experience in CADs, sampling, and vendor communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of styles after buyer selection, including revisions and development execution
• Translate buyer feedback into actionable CAD updates, specs, materials, and development direction
• Partner closely with Creative Director to maintain design intent throughout development
• Initiate and manage CADs to ensure accurate construction, materials, and requested changes
• Oversee the full sampling lifecycle from Pproto through production
• Review samples for quality, feasibility, and cost implications prior to submission
• Drive proactive problem-solving to minimize development rounds and delays
• Prepare approved styles for production handoff with complete specs, approvals, and technical details
• Partner cross-functionally with production teams to ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing

Qualifications:
• Strong 5 years experience in product development, design, and trend research
• Proficiency with CADs, specs, and sample management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Project management and organizational skills to manage calendars, track samples, and meet deadlines across multiple accounts and seasons.
• Excellent clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, including overseas partners.
• Proficiency with design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and/or similar systems) to develop and/or update artwork and specifications.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, in a collaborative studio environment and participate in fittings, line reviews, and vendor meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• Light domestic travel is required 2-3 time per year but may vary pending on business needs.
