Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in production. This position requires a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles and experience within a manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that optimize production lines and improve overall operational performance.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and engineering processes and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate advanced technologies such as Vision inspection systems and logic controllers into existing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions.
- Oversee the assembly line operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize programming skills to automate processes and improve workflow.
- Provide training and support to production staff on new equipment and processes.
- Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement and implement
- Review and update PFMEA, process control plan and work instructions
- Lead VDA and IATF compliance measures
- Launch new program and take ownership of current & future assembly lines.
- Build samples for new program: check quantities of parts, track parts, establish build plan, review open issues.
- Implement cost saving ideas.
- Provide on-site technical support during startup and commissioning of new installations.
- Develop, interpret and implement policies and procedures.
- Identify problems and implement cost effective solutions.
- Maintain safety and quality standards per company rules.
- Perform other duties are required.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven experience in a manufacturing facility with hands-on knowledge of assembly line operations, test equipment manufacturing and mechanical design experience.
- Familiarity with Quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
- Experience with Vision inspection systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of logic controllers and their application in manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability in programming for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience with Pneumatic and hydraulic and basic electrical knowledge
