What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Hanover Public Schools?
Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom management.Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives introduced by the teacher.Support students with varying academic and developmental needs, including those receiving special education services (IEP & 504).Supervise students in the classroom, during transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities.Help implement behavior management plans as directed by the teacher or specialist staff.Prepare and organize classroom materials, supplies, and learning centers.Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.Provide social and emotional support to help students adjust to the school environment.Participate in training sessions and professional development as required.Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student success.Position is 29 hours per week
