Hanover Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This full-time, on-site position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Position Details

• Full-Time Maintenance Position

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, On-Site

• On-Call: Once or twice per month (including weekends/holidays as needed)

• Valid driver’s license required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, and windows

• Drilling into walls and painting experience required

• Perform drywall repair, patching, and replacement

• Handle general mechanical and maintenance tasks throughout the facility

• Move and arrange furniture as needed to complete assignments

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities with nursing staff when working in resident care areas

• Follow maintenance schedules, policies, and supervisor instructions

• Perform routine repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, and mechanical work

• Maintain facility grounds, including mowing, trimming, sweeping, and parking area upkeep

• Replace light bulbs, including exit and overhead lighting

• Assist with the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure equipment and systems remain operational

• Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance needs as required

Qualifications

• Prior general maintenance and mechanical experience required

• Drilling, wall repair, and painting experience is a must

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Valid driver’s license required
