Job Description
The Maintenance Lead manages and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, water tower, air compressors, assembly lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery. This position also manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours
- Coaches, counsels and manages performance of direct reports
- Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
- Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed
- Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Orders parts and maintains MRO crib
- Assists and trains maintenance staff as needed
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health/safety regulations
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
- Supports and participates in EHS objectives
- Enter work orders/call information on leading2lean
- Verify work order/dispatches are closed in leading2lean
- Identifying, locating and issuing parts to maintenance technicians from the maintenance storeroom
- Track and pick up orders from receiving department, inspect deliveries for shortages, damages and report any problems
- Ensure an environmental health and safe work environment conditions by complying with all Hanon Systems Integrated Management System procedures, standards, and regulations
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years of maintenance experience required

- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are subject to variation with occasional evening and weekend work required as job duties demand
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme outside weather conditions
