What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACE Early Childhood Teacher position at Hannahville Indian Community?
This full time position under the FACE program is a Early Childhood Teacher for the center base classroom and family literacy program. This person works closely with parents and adult education teacher, facilitating learning for children of kindergarten readiness skills while parents/guardians are working on their own education goals. This person plays a key role in providing a model for parents in how to teach, motivate and discipline young children and serves as a strong influence on attendance and program retention by providing an environment that makes preschoolers eager to attend. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education or elementary education with Early Childhood Endorsement. Possess and maintain valid MI. driver's license (in compliance with HIC insurance carrier) and dependable transportation. Early childhood (ages 3-5) experience and working with adults/families is preferred. Knowledge of child development, adult learners.
