Temporary Data Entry Clerk - Customer Service

Hanna Instruments is seeking a temporary full-time Data Entry Clerk for our Customer Service team in our Smithfield, RI office. The Data Entry Clerk will assist and support the Customer Service team for a 6-month period during a transition period while switching our CRM system from NetSuite to Zoho. This role will be critical in assisting the team with creating and duplicating data during the transition between the two systems. This role does have the potential to expand into a full-time permanent Inside Sales role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of a Data Entry Clerk:

• Assist in transition from NetSuite CRM to Zoho CRM by entering order data, creating customer records, and ensuring accurate data entry in the system.
• Support the team with transitionary data clean up as necessary.
• Required to pay close attention to details by reviewing, adding or deleting comments necessary to process order.
• Enter, process, approve and/or cancel all customer orders accurately and within the same day received.
• Send acknowledgement to customers regarding order changes.
• Respond to customer inquiries received by phone and email.
• Work with Logistics and other operating functions regarding delivery and service matters.
• Work with Accounting on customer payment discrepancies.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in customer service setting or with data entry.
• Previous experience working with a CRM/ERP system required, NetSuite experience a bonus.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Computer literacy required, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Detail oriented and a keen eye for detail required.
• Good communication skills both written and oral required.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm onsite in our Smithfield, RI office.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Data entry: 2 years (Preferred)
• CRM software: 1 year (Preferred)
