Position Summary
The Production Assembly Technician – Supports the assembly, filling, testing, and packaging of water softener and filtration systems in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality and accuracy, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assemble tanks and internal tubing following work instructions, engineering drawings, job travelers, and pick lists
- Operate vacuum filling systems to load tanks with resin, gravel, or carbon media
- Measure, cut, and deburr plastic tubing to specification
- Inspect and clean tanks prior to filling and final packaging
- Apply caps and apply product labels to completed tanks
- Assemble and wrap skids for multi-box systems with proper labeling and protection
- Operate pallet jacks and use basic hand tools
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Support other contract manufacturing assembly operations as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Prior manufacturing or water system experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and follow basic work instructions and drawings
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs., with team lifting or assist devices used as needed
- Comfortable standing and working with hand tools throughout the shift
- Basic mechanical aptitude and good attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team environment
