Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system to ensure quick and accurate transactions
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including processing payments, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide product demos when needed to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and participating in periodic stock counts
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions accurately
