Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients for service
- Support kitchen staff with cooking tasks, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and equipment
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely delivery of dishes in a fine dining setting
- Support catering events by preparing and serving food according to event specifications
- Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to uphold high standards of quality and hygiene
- Complete closing shift tasks such as washing wiping and mopping kitchen area
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and food safety protocols necessary for the role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills
- Prior experience in catering or fine dining environments is a plus
