Fillauer is hiring a Hook Fabrication Specialist to perform post-machining work on prosthetic hooks and their components in Chattanooga, TN.
Your Impact
- Performs finishing work, including sanding, aligning, and vulcanizing hook fingers
- Utilize belt sander, hydraulic press, grinder, heat treat oven and other equipment as required for job
- Interprets work orders and other verbal or written instructions
- Meets job deadlines and ensures continuous process flow
- Documents actions by electronically recording labor and materials for each job
- Ensures quality standards are met
- Verifies specifications by measuring and testing completed components
- Identifies any defective items and handles according to established procedures
- Resolves production problems by communicating with peers or supervisors
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience using basic shop hand tools
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Must be detail focused
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Must possess good communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Proven experience in utilizing the following equipment: belt sander, grinder, hydraulic press, heat treat oven, and torches
- Sand blasting experience
- Metal bending experience
