Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is seeking a Material Coordinator for the Material Services department. This individual, as directed by management and using engineered specifications, develop descriptions for procurement action of materials, parts and minor equipment as required by the maintenance function. Such work may include the preparation of requisitions, material requests, store orders, P-card orders, maintenance of files on requisitions, prepare parts and tools returns for shipment offsite, purchase orders, receiving reports, and associated information. Perform material take-off from blueprints, drawings, sketches or engineered specifications. Follow-up on procurement; locating materials; arranging for shipments; expediting shipments; delivery and check off on receipt; maintains control of locked storage yards, and storage (bins/racks); coordinate project need dates with material delivery dates; provide material status reports; maintain files on drawings, catalogues, requisitions, orders backup documentation, etc. May perform material cost estimates and other related work. May provide on-the-job training to less experienced Material Coordinator personnel. May also assist in the control of inventory of certified materials, excessing tools and materials, and perform other work related to material control and procurement such as preparation of Spares Storage Request (SSRs), Warehouse Storage Request (WSRs) and Spares Adjustment Request (SARs).

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications
Material control background. Ability to work independently and as a team. Strong background in supply chain management and excessing of government property. Forklift qualified.

Compensation & Benefits
Entry Level Hourly Rate: $28.930

Top Level Hourly Rate: $48.193

In accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the salary offered for this position will be reflective of the assigned job classification and associated wage scale. Actual placement on the wage scale will be based on a candidate's education, training and/or experience. A step rate increase will be implemented every six months (as applicable) until the top rate of the wage scale is reached.
