Job Responsibilities/Duties
The purpose of the internal audit function is to strengthen H2C's ability to create, protect, and sustain value by providing the board and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, insight, and foresight.
Duties & Responsibilities of an Internal Auditor:
- Plan, schedule, and conduct assurance audits and advisory engagements in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
- Perform risk assessments, control evaluations, and document well-defined audit procedures.
- Document and evaluate internal controls; prepare system descriptions and flowcharts.
- Prepare and deliver audit reports to management, clearly communicating progress, findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Incorporate management action plan(s) and collaborate with management on recommendations.
- Maintain professional and confidential conduct, ensuring independence and objectivity.
- Actively collaborate with audit team members by sharing information, supporting colleagues, contributing ideas, and participating in group discussions to ensure audit objectives are met efficiently and effectively; demonstrate respect, adaptability, and partnership within cross-functional teams.
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and take initiative to drive positive changes within the organization; stay informed about best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aligned with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
Grade 16:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field; and
- Three (3) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 17:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field; and
- Five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Grade 18:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field; and
- Seven (7) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Teammate or other audit software.
- Experience with government regulations (FAR, DEAR, FTR, etc.).
- Experience with GIAS or GAGAS standards.
- Hold a relevant certification (i.e. CIA, CFE, CPA, etc.) or demonstrate the ability to obtain a certification within the first two years of employment.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $90,150
Hiring Range Maximum: $137,538
