Job Responsibilities/Duties
H2C seeks a Project Specialist for the Advanced Modular Pretreatment System (AMPS) Project as part of the Capital Projects organization. AMPS is one of the major capital projects at the Hanford Site that is designed to remove cesium and suspended solids from the 200 East Area Tank Waste. Delivering that system is a critical step in preparing compliant waste feed to the Low-Activity Waste Vitrification Plant.
The organization performs design, procurement, construction, testing and turnovers of all project field activities. The organization is structured to utilize an Integrated Project Team approach, which includes supporting functional organizations.
The Project Specialist is responsible for coordinating the operational and/or administrative tasks of ongoing project work activities while serving as the liaison between project teams, management, and staff in support of the Capital Project team.
The specific duties of the Project Specialist will include but are not limited to the following:
* Takes ownership of and maintains action tracking logs and works with action owners to ensure logs are complete and accurate.
* Assists with the planning, expediting, organizing, implementing, and performing related tasks to meet project goals and deliverables.
* Maintains an awareness of scheduled project work activities and requests to include the resources and document flow between H2C and subcontractors in support of ongoing procurement activities
* Works with Project Engineers to incorporate design media and related procurement documents into the Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) system.
* Supports project managers in coordinating Integrated Project Teams meetings
* Collaborates with Acquisition and Planning Project manager with proposal presentations and document distribution.
* Provides document control assistance to the Engineering team as needed.
* Develops presentation materials for communication to key internal and external stakeholders.
* Builds knowledge of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) by staying current on changing work practices and policies.
* Develops and distributes meeting agendas and minutes.
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in the development and delivery of presentations and be comfortable speaking to large groups of people. The ability to deliver assignments with timeliness and accuracy is essential.
Required Qualifications
Grade 18:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field; and
- Seven (7) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 19:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field; and
- Nine (9) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Grade 20:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field; and
- Ten (10) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Smart Plant Foundation and/or IDMS
* Familiarity with Engineering design processes and drawings
* Project management or project support experience
* Experience with Microsoft Teams
* Experience with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience in document management or document control
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $109,013
Hiring Range Maximum: $166,263
