Responsibilities
This role requires subject matter expertise, active engagement with field crews and engineers, and a proactive approach to driving process improvements while facilitating safe, efficient, and effective maintenance planning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, prioritize, and manage work orders to meet ongoing reliability, operational needs, and compliance with safety and security requirements.
- Prepare, document, and accurately track work packages within the work management system (JCS or other) to ensure workflow efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and maintain the Periodic Maintenance process per HMIS procedures, addressing changes due to DOE orders, system upgrades, and functional lifecycles.
- Lead hazard analysis teams and facilitate walkdowns to identify, evaluate, and control potential work hazards using Job Hazard Analysis Checklists.
- Collaborate closely with management, engineers, work control staff, and security professionals to ensure all work planning aligns with mission priorities and program needs.
- Prepare and submit Plant Forces Work Reviews (PFWRs), with tracking and status updates, to ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act requirements.
- Identify required materials and generate bills of material in relevant management systems (e.g., eBOMS), ensuring timely availability and tracking.
- Obtain and review required drawings, engineering change notices, and permits, integrating them into work scope and instructions.
- Craft comprehensive work instructions and procedures for corrective maintenance, modifications, and periodic updates.
- Conduct post-job reviews and input lessons learned into the CMMS to enhance future planning and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain effective communication of schedule status and updates with the work management and operational teams.
- Support validation of work requests and participate in planning meetings to ensure alignment among all stakeholders.
- Produce summary reports for management review and customer feedback, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
- Assist in developing new HMIS procedures related to emerging technologies or regulatory changes and apply them to work packages.
